General Rules
• Respect – People are on this board because they enjoy being here, and we will not stand insults or childish behaviour.
• Approval – Please do not post as a character until said character has been approved by a member of staff.
• The Staff reserve the right to ban persistently problematic players or characters.
• Accounts that remain inactive for more than 90 days without cause risk being deleted.
• Remember to sign the away sheet if you are going to be absent for a prolonged period of time, let us know where you are.
Posting Rules
• No god-modding – This one almost goes without saying, but nonetheless it must be said, your characters are not invincible, and controlling the actions of other player’s characters is a big no-no.
• Quality over Quantity – ultimately, post count doesn’t matter, what does is the quality of the posts that make up that count.
• Spell Check – Please make use of it. Bad grammar and spelling makes posts hard to read, do yourself and fellow members a favour and take the time to proofread your work.
• Characters can have a fluid timeline, they can be in more than one thread at any one time, as long as they do not travel across the world in that time then it makes sense chronologically, use your better judgement here(code word: "Adonalsium").
• Please keep plots or threads within the reality of the Mistborn universe.
• Please follow the Proboards Terms of service and restrain from explicitly sexual descriptions, ultra-extreme violence or extreme language in posts.
Character Rules
If every character on the board was a misting/ferring then things would not only be rather unrealistically populated, but also may fast become repetitive. As a result we have decided to implement a points system in order to control the 'talented' population.
Every untalented character you create grants you five points. Making talented characters costs certain amounts of these points and when you use up all of those points you must create another untalented character in order to create more talented characters(code word: "Lord Ruler").
There can never be anymore than one Mistborn and one Feruchemist per player.
Your first talented character cannot be a Hemalurgist.
When you kill a character, the points they cost are not free for you to reuse until the waiting period of 14 days has passed.
You can only have 1 canon character at a time. Talented canons do not cost points, though untalented canons do increase your points.
