Believed to be the House from which Elend Venture came, it is not known how the House has survived, but the likelihood is a lesser branch of the main house adopted the name Venture. Though once the lessermost house in Elendel City, their lands extend around the Pits of Hathsin, and though they are strictly regulated by the government, their control of this valuable resource has seen a marked increase in their fortunes until they are one of, if not the most influential House in the city.

A socio-political power in Elendel, Ladrian is a respected House, and one that has a finger in many pies. Though it has Waxilium Ladrian is well respected as a strong-willed man in the senate, the House itself wields little political power.
